We are proud to live and build in Southeast Iowa. Statler Construction was started in 1983 by George Statler when he built his first agricultural building and was expanded in 1990 when he built his own Home. Since that time, we have completed over 275 building and 300 home projects in SE Iowa.

Building a new home or building should be one of the most exciting things you can do!! However, construction is a scary thought to many people with the horror stories they have heard of delays, change orders and decisions, decisions, decisions. We are here to help make the process enjoyable and have a proven track record in doing so!

Statler Construction, Inc. serves as your complete project coordinator to take the typical construction headaches out of your new home or building project and provide you with a complete price so you can enjoy the process! We typically organize and coordinate all aspects of the construction giving you a turn-key project, but are happy to work with you if there are certain items you would like to do yourself. We have put together a great team of quality local trades people to assure your home or building project is completed with the highest quality, on time and on budget!

Hello! I look forward to meeting with you and working on your new construction project! Your new home building project is one of the largest decisions and purchases you will ever make and my goal is to make it an enjoyable process. 2011 starts my 17th year in the building business and I love what I do working with you to help make your dreams become a reality. With ever changing technologies, trends and challenges in our industry I pledge to do my best to inform and walk you through the different choices and decisions to provide you with the best home or building project for your needs.

One of my top concerns in building your new home is making it as energy efficient as possible. With the continuous rising utility rates we are faced with I have designed our standard home package to meet top energy efficient requirements and can show you a variety of options for you to include in your new home. I do my best to keep up with the ever changing technologies available and am a member of the Iowa City Area Home Builders Association (HBA) which allows me to stay educated on many different levels as it relates to the building industry. I have recently completed my certification through the HBA for Green Building and have become a Certified Green Professional to better stay on top of the current technology efficiencies available.

We are a full service family business with my wife, Kari Statler, managing the office responsibilities, brother-in-law, Clair Miller, serving as our on-site project manager and putting on the finishing touch with a final cleaning of your home by my mother, Ruth. We promise to help you through the process and build your home as we have built our own.

 

In Memory of our Founder - George Statler, May 19, 1947 - September 27, 2008

Statler Construction, Inc. received a great blow with the tragic loss of our founder George Statler to an auto accident in September of 2008. This leaves a huge hole in our hearts but creates a stronger resolve to continue on the business Dad started and loved so much. Dad founded this business on the premise of treating people as you would like to be treated. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to work with and learn this business from one of the finest for 11 ½ years and intend to make him proud by carrying it on and hope to have the opportunity to pass it along to my own children as well.
